The aim of the project is to provide a social event which brings members of the Deaf community together in an environment specific to them, whilst raising Deaf Awareness amongst participating (hearing) family, friends and volunteers.

 As there is currently no event of its type on the Deaf community "calendar" of events it is anticipated that every participant will gain from some new experience - perhaps leading to greater confidence and involvement in further arts activities in the future.

It will also give children of Deaf adults (CODA's) the opportunity to see their parents in their "natural environment", being full and equal participants. This may give these CODA's a better opportunity to simply be children without the all too common assumed responsibility of communication aid.
